Dr. Kathleen Cauwelier

Kathleen Cauwelier is a postdoctoral researcher at the Mobilise Research Group at VUB. In 2026, she obtained her PhD in Business Economics, entitled Inside the e-consumer’s mind: Sustainable decision-making in e-commerce delivery. Her research focuses on the role of e-consumers and how sustainability influences their delivery choices.

As such, her work lies at the intersection of consumer psychology, behavioural economics, and transport research. Her key research interests include nudging, behavioural change interventions, delivery and return preferences, and pro-sustainable decision-making processes.
