Dr. Philippe Lebeau

Philippe Lebeau is a postdoctoral researcher in the Sustainable Logistics team of the Mobilise Research Group at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). His work focuses on sustainable urban logistics, stakeholder engagement, and the governance of transport transitions. Through numerous European and regional research projects, he investigates how collaborative approaches can accelerate the adoption of innovative and sustainable logistics solutions in cities. His work resulted in more than 50 publications.

After completing his PhD on the electrification of last-mile logistics, Philippe expanded his research towards broader urban freight solutions. He has built extensive experience in bringing together public authorities, logistics providers, retailers, research organizations, and citizens to co-create solutions for complex urban logistics challenges. His work combines scientific research with practical implementation, with a strong focus on generating real-world impact.
