Driving Equitable and Accessible 15 Minute Neighbourhood Transformations
In the DREAMS project we are exploring, through co-created and user-centric mobility services, mobility and flexible activity hubs, how we can actively contribute to creating accessible, sustainable, and inclusive 15mC neighbourhoods in the urban outskirts of European cities and regions. We will conduct extensive research in six living labs across europes, specifically in Budapest, Brussels, Munich, Paris, Utrecht, and Vienna.
Our primary objective is to provide a comprehensive and comparative analysis of 15mC lifestyles in various low- to mid-density suburban and urban outskirts within the five regions. Additionally, we are committed to developing and testing new business models and governace frameworks for innovative shared mobility services and flexible activity hubs in low/medium-density areas. Furthermore, we will develop and apply a decision support tool to facilitate the co-creation and impact assessment of mobility services, mobility hubs, and flexible activity hubs within the DREAMS living labs. We will rigorously examine the mobility, accessibility, and broader societal impacts of these services to ensure their efectiveness.
Ultimately, our goal is to generate policy recommendations that actively pave the way for sustainable and inclusive urban mobility in 15mC neighbourhoods in urban outskirts. We aim to achieve this by leveraging co-created and user-centric mobility services, mobility and flexible activity hubs, and implementing new governance business models.
