NN Investment Partners’ Sustainable Investment Summer Course is moving to Brussels for the fifth lecture in the series, with Professor Cathy Macharis from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel giving her talk at 15.00 CET on 20 September.
The transport sector accounts for around a quarter of global carbon emissions, and this lecture is going to be all about the need to cut its emissions to an eighth of their current levels. The good news is that Professor Macharis believes this can be achieved through a series of feasible steps.
During the lecture she will set out how a more sustainable transport system can be achieved through a process based on what she calls the eight ‘A’s: awareness, avoidance, act & shift, anticipation of new technologies, accelerate policy, actor involvement, adapt and amor.
The Summer Course is in full swing but there’s still time to register for this lecture and all the others.
This lecture is part of the NN IP Sustainable Investing Summer Course, a series of seven lectures given by several leading academics.
CFA Society VBA Netherlands, the Dutch association of investment professionals, has approved one Professional Learning (PL) credit per attended hour of the Summer Course. CFA members can register their participation by logging into their personal PL tracker on the CFA Institute website.
